MAS PITRE is situated in the Garrotxa region, an area of outstanding natural beauty, ideal for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Historic villages such as Besalú, with one of the best preserved collections of medieval buildings in Catalonia, are also well worth a visit for their artistic and historical value, along with Castellfollit de la Roca and Beget.

The cities of Girona, Figueres and Olot are nearby, with the famous volcanic zone around Olot and the marvellous beech forest Fageda d'en Jordà.
